IronKings LLC stands out as a proud representation of both the golf community and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). When we launched IronKings Golf, it wasn’t just about starting a business — it was about filling a void we deeply felt as proud HBCU alumni. One of us graduated from Howard, the other from Morehouse. But despite our love for the game, we couldn’t find a single piece of golf apparel — not even a hat — that repped our schools with pride.
So we created it ourselves.

Why Representation in Golf Matters
Golf has often excluded us. While the sport is evolving, there’s still work to do. More than 4.1 million African Americans now play golf in the U.S. — up from 2.6 million a decade ago. That’s progress. But with only three Black golfers currently holding PGA Tour cards, representation remains limited.
That’s one reason we do what we do. Every IronKings hat is more than gear — it’s a symbol that we belong in golf too.
